Hi Folks,
A quiet day today. Sunny skies all day a rareity. We finished setting up camp this morning. After set up I was busily chasing the sun with the solar panel since we are under the trees a bit here and Susan was soaking our enormous pile of washing in buckets.
The country music entertainment commenced as promised. As I posted on face book there are many good Australian country musicians. It was a pity none of them were here. The first guy managed to make every song sound the same. However at least he sang in key which is more than I can say for the second one. It seemed to be mandatory that the songs all had the beat of an ambling horse and I was waiting for one of the many dogs here to start howling. However things did get better. They took an extended lunch break which enabled us to have our lunch and get to Burnie before they started again.
On our arrival we went to Supercheap (Auto) and bought some heavily discounted bits and pieces for the camp kit. However the trip to Burnie was a fizzer since the only laundromat in town had closed down. Consulting google we found one at Ulverstone so we drove there. Ironically it was closer to where we are staying than Burnie. The laundromat was good and after spending $16 our clothes were clean and dry. We cruised to the park and caught up on some online stuff before heading back to Riana.
The country howlers had all gone mercifully.
Tea was cooked and eaten. Susan spent time repairing clothes while I managed to get the shift key working on this laptop.
Overall a meagre days achievement in such rare excellent weather. Tomorrow we shall be tourists again.
Night folks
Cheers Simon
