Hi Folks,
Another week rockets by. The activity in commissioning the new kitchen continued apace today. A long day with unusual mildness in the air (a portent of spring perhaps). The bench we brought back yesterday was installed unscathed. Whilst Susan worked in the kitchen cleaning the whole area and laying carpet tiles I did my usual chores and started on tidying the shipping container now that all the pieces from Ilan's farm have arrived. The highlight of the day was removing a tyre from an old trolley and successfully repairing the tube. It may not sound like much but it was very tight to fit and remove. The lowlight of the day was at community dinner when Susan decided to play a pair of glass jars like symbols with the resulting broken glass penetrating her palm near the left thumb. She ate tea while applying pressure and then we trooped down to the Medical Centre. No doctor on call so the nurse applied treatment in the form of steristrips and a bandage. One of the drawbacks of the country is the 2 hour trip at slow Ambulance speed to Hobart for treatment. Life threatening illnesses require the rescue helicopter.
Morphine and Fan Fan will leave the weekend after next. We have Suzanne leaving Monday and the return of Weiting on Tuesday. In ten days our number will be 3 which will be interesting to say the least. Something will turn up i guess.

Night folks

Cheers Simon
