Day 211 Nubeena Saturday 27th August 2011

Selina, Weiting and us

Weiting's birthday cake

Hello folks,
Weiting left us today so with Ian's departure yesterday our numbers are reduced to three which means not much other than the wheel turning basics will be achievable. Continued long days for Susan as the only receptionist for 4 full days.
A warm breezy day today, good for weed control. After stacking away the wood I cut yesterday I strolled to various trouble areas to practise weed control with the "magic" spray. I will be interested to see if the stronger solution I mixed works on the sprouting blackberries in the gully. We slashed them down a couple of months back. If it doesn't work we will need to use the Armstrong method which will be tough work for someone since some of the runners are large and under the ground.
Susan worked most of the day with a big job in the laundry and prepared the soups for the drumming session tonight. Food wise I rediscovered making pita bread pizzas for late lunch and they were bloody good even if I say it myself.
Looks like it will rain tomorrow to bring an end to our run of sunny days.

night folks

cheers Simon
