Day 193 Nubeena Tuesday 9th August 2011

Hi all,
The damp drizzly weather continues, smoke struggles to rise from chimneys and the wind has vanished. 4 days since the sun has been sighted!
Today i put up a curtain rod, changed a door lock, repaired a television, picked up Selina and Weiting from Port Arthur, did the pools, picked up chook poop and many other little jobs. Susan has been concentrating on consolidating the food from several locations into the new kitchen.
The psychology of the electric fence is interesting. The goats have walking and standing close to it down to a fine art. I wonder how often they test it. Once they are conditioned in theory it could be turned off. Tonight they were considering following me through the gate as if they had worked out that it was safe. They were also thinking about charging the fence it seemed. Or it could have just been random who knows.
Anyway I am tired after the mental taxation of the census form so I will say good night. Susan is playing Uno in Little Taiwan.

Cheers Simon
