Day 239 Nubeena Saturday 24th September 2011
Selina's dinner
Doctor Oswald Theodore Kyle MBE (c1911-1980)
Hi Folks,
Back to work today. A quiet day. I replaced the blades on the Deutscher and repaired the throttle cable that snapped at one end when I was starting it. Most of the time I wear gloves but seeing I was working adjacent the razor sharp edge of the front guard I decided not to and promptly cut my thumb, twit. The rest of the day was spent doing little chores including taking Nick to Port Arthur on his day off. I started to install the wondrous water ioniser machine in the kitchen but was stymied due to the lack of instructions. Normally this wouldn't stop me but it's Ilan's and it's worth a couple of grand.
Selena cooked community dinner tonight. Her first effort and it was pretty good. Susan did a sticky date pudding as usual. However this time instead of a big slab of pudding she made individual ones in silicone muffin moulds. Very tidy and an excellent idea.
Today's pictures are from Susan's camera mostly from yesterday. I have asked her to prepare a photo extra on the blog of her snaps since they are generally better composed than mine.
cheers Simon
