Another warm to hot day on the Northern Rivers. It was a little bit cooler this morning after last nights rain about 8mm on the very ancient rain gauge. However by this afternoon it was hot 36 in Lismore. This morning I moved more rocks and did the pool thing while Susan worked on her patch of jungle. I did some chain sawing chopping some old lantana off at its knees leaving it hanging in the camphor laurels. Another one of natures feral plants.
After lunch we said goodbye to Sara as she headed off to Lismore for her $92 overnight bus trip to Sydney. We shall miss her happy smiling face and screaming when spiders surprise her.

After that we busied ourselves on our own chores. A load of washing, Susan cross stitching while I replumbed the water on the trailer again. This time moving the pressure reducer valve to the pump outlet something I should have done when I first fitted it in front of the water heater. I am hoping it will reduce the water leaks when the pump is on and stop firing the plug on the outlet line into orbit. I will test tomorrow. I have used Selleys All Clear to seal the joins between the barbs and the tubes since nothing else really wants to stick. If I had pipe glue I would have tried that except they may be joints I want to take apart at some stage.
We have to juggle the Internet from now on since the Telstra plan is nearly out of data for this month 12 days early. We have the use of the house ADSL but there is not much electricity to run it in the evening plus only one person can be connected. Or I can shell out $50 for 3gB of Telstra prepaid. What about your Optus dongle you ask. Well it's useless out here as it was at Gympie. I am surprised the Optus phone works. Telstra is pretty poor too except when I use my high gain aerial on the car. To top it off the wireless part of the router has been erratic so I might have to shove the old one back in. I don't know what I would do with all my spare time if I didn't have to keep making the devices that make my life easier functioning.
Anyway enough moaning. My hay fever has improved with the application of the drugs I bought yesterday as has Susan's ant bite. We should be grateful for small mercies.
night folks
Simon
