Day 31 Gulmarrad Sunday July 8th 2012

Howdee kids,

After breakfast today I introduced Kat to the mysteries of feeding the animals. Not much of a mystery really.

Susan was practising her staple folding early. I was stuffing the last areas with straw and putting on the wire. I was determined to finish today and so I did although there is speculation that I missed one area above a window which will be a two minute job. It was dark when I pulled the plastic covers down. The last hour was like a bit of a Burma railway. However I am looking forward to seeing the render on the walls at some time in the future. Susan in the meantime was trying to tidy although the hay tends to go everywhere.  She heaved a whole lot of loose hay into the duck paddock as well as assisting me where ever possible throughout the day.
A busy full on day for both of us.

Tea was a delicious Susan beef curry.

Our time here is drawing to a close. I have to change the kitchen tap tomorrow which involves removing the sink should be fun. Susan has some more reorganisation to do in the shed. We then need some nice warm sun to dry the canvas to pack up!

Some pictures tomorrow.....

cheers Simon
