We started our exchange today. We set the alarm so we could start work at 8. It was supposed to be set for 7 but Susan thinking it was on SA time set it for 630. I hauled our solar panels out since we don't have power here. I don't think they will be able to keep up due to the shading of the trees.

My job today was to have a look at the bits and pieces for the solar installation. Mainly to confirm that the panels needed to be wired in series and parallel to give the required voltage for the regulator. Tomorrow they will be installed on the roof and I will connect them together hopefully correctly.
Susan meanwhile cleaned the old Leyland Leopard bus that will be used by the Taiwanese backpackers if they make it here. She also cleaned the communal shower located in Dan's mobile home.
Since there was a lull in the work I took the opportunity to finish water proofing the swag bag plus the tip of the main weather flap on the swag.
We then took a drive around the local area into the township. We drove up to the local lookout and then back to camp. I wanted a shower and ended up using our gas one on the camper. It worked pretty well until the water ran out. Just need to get used to standing on a rubber mat naked out in the open! A job for tomorrow cart some 65 litres of water down to fill the tank. Should be a lot of fun up and down the hill.
Susan cooked quiche for tea tonight. Unfortunately the first one was ruined when the pyrex dish broke in the camp oven. The second one turned out ok in a saucepan and all appreciated the vegetables served with it. The kitchen is rustic with the flames being supplied by two small portable cookers. not the most ideal cooking situation.
We had a light shower tonight but it was clear when we adjourned to our clearing. Hopefully a sunny day tomorrow.
night folks
Cheers Simon
