A fine morning at the falls. We were up early and having breakfast just after 7. It is a long night when you go to bed at 830! The crowd down the road actually had 2 generators. I could only here the second one after the first super noisy one had turned off quite early mercifully. The other droned on for hours cycling up and down to meet demand. I was asleep before it was. We packed efficiently but unhurried this morning. A shortish drive took us to Gympie a town we had only viewed from the highway which bypasses the town centre.
Susan navigated us to the town centre where we visited a camping shop, buying nothing for a change. We paused at a noodle bar for lunch and I photographed the brick/cobble murals in the War Memorial lane way. They were quite detailed and different to any I have seen before. I was quite impressed.
We then drove to Imbil and our next HelpX assignment.

We were met by Dan given a quick tour of his property It is in the early stages of development as he has only been here 4 years. It was an overgrown ex pineapple farm when he purchased it. It is quite hilly. He has cleared a patch down the bottom of the hill for us. Unfortunately it is not really flat enough to put the camper on so we are in the swag with our tarpaulin rigged over the top to deal with the inevitable rain. .We did have drizzle tonight. the property is off the grid for power and water. Hopefully the sun will shine and we can run our systems down here with out having to haul the generator down the hill. Tea tonight was cooked by Max a French helper. Tomorrow Susan is going to work on the outdoor kitchen and some cleaning while I try and decipher the solar system which is to be installed.
That's your lot for tonight. Will try for some location pictures tomorrow. We have no Optus phone coverage onsite only if we drive up to the water tank apparently. Telstra is fine. Work starts at 8 so we need to be out of bed by 7! Just like a real job.
Cheers Simon
