Day 147 Gympie Thursday 1st November 2012

Crikey,

November already. Another year has whizzed by nearly.

We awoke to 18 degrees and a foggy morning. The mist soon burned off as the temperature roared up to 32 which is probably as hot as it gets here. Unless it gets hotter of course. The historical records of the BOM are good reading. Especially if you are looking for a place to live and want to know the year round climate averages. I am rattling on about the weather because i don't have an awful lot to describe today.
This doesn't mean it was a bad day, in fact it was quite enjoyable apart from the sweat pouring off of me. I was working outside installing conduit and threading a cable or 2. Susan was inside sewing cushions besides preparing lunch of tuna salad and tea, chow mien, a new dish for her from a web recipe which was very nice.

Susan went with Dan to Gympie first up to do the food shopping while he had a swim and visited the home brew shop. She also went across the road with Dan to check out a neighbor's chickens and guinea pigs which will need care when the neighbour is away.

This afternoon I drove into Gympie to buy the cabbage for the chow mien and visited Mitre 10 and Supercheap Auto. My wallet did not leave my pocket!

All in all i must say this is a great life. Work a bit and socialise a bit more, meet interesting people and see the country for not much cost. Well as long as you don't include the $1200 I shelled out the other day for the car registration and comprehensive insurance. Tyres will be required in the next 15,000km so there goes another $1100! Of course the storage unit will need renewal in January for a paltry $2000 for 12 months.
It is still a great life though. We are very lucky.

night folks

Cheers Simon
