The word for the day is rain. Finally after 4 months (our last day of serious rain was on July 14th) it started raining at 2pm. By 4 we had 80mm and as I type this it is still raining lightly and we have just hit 100mm. Consequently not much was achieved outside since this morning Susan and Jules headed to Gympie not returning until after 11. I headed up the hill to download a map update for our GPS returning home at 1130 or thereabouts. Once the rain started there was not much to do bar sit inside. Fortunately it was not cold and it was interesting to watch the water levels rise in the little dams

Dan and Roxy our last hosts came for a BBQ tea with Heather a friend of theirs. It was a pleasant evening although the pervading rain took a little bit of the gloss off. I cooked the BBQ while Susan prepared sticky date pudding with gluten free flour.

We took the opportunity to have our picture taken with Dan and Roxy seeing as it was overlooked when we left.
Tomorrow is in the lap of the weather gods!
