Day 242 Nabiac Monday 4th February 2013

Greeting Readers,

Simon's mowing along the nature corridor
We were geared up to do painting today, provided the paint arrived from town in time, several things derailed the plan so we moved on to other jobs. Simon busied himself mowing the back nature corridor, it is so far away that you can't even hear the mower from the house, well I can't. After mowing he whipper snipped and did a general tidy up. Apparently there are lots of self seeded trees that he chose to preserve so mowing/snipping process was approached with more delicate approach than his usual "I like to drive" approach. We often have chats about "our little piece of paradise  when we find it, Simon's motivation in agreeing to this, I fear, is the chance to purchase "boy toys" he talks of a tractor with all the attachments. Does he know how much these things cost? Probably does...... looks like we would be living in the camper but we would have a shiny red GT striped tractor parked close by.

I cleaned up the pots from the soap making, made walnut and date slice, tidied drawers and freezers and helped un-mould the soaps. I also mended the green lounge while watching My Kitchen Rules. I have decided there is a little too much beat up on the show and will probably not watch it any more. I have been reflecting on how things are portrayed on TV again over the last couple of days. We go months sometimes without watching TV, because we don't have one in the camper, but I particularly do get hooked in to watching again when we have one at the end of a remote. Note to self less TV. I do however like my daily emails from Nextworld TV  and Storytellers of Good which have videos of inspiration, innovations generally positive stories.

I took a trip to town in Anna's car in the late afternoon to get some baking supplies from the shop. The car decided not to start for the homeward journey, a hasty call to Anna, to locate Andrew to find Simon and voila Simon arrived with jumper leads. Turns out the alternator is not charging the battery, very frustrating when the car was serviced just last week!

Tomorrow we paint!

Cheers

Susan
