Simon was up and raring to go, which is unlike him, he likes
to lie in and is slow to warm up in the morning, but today he wanted to find
out the worst about the car and was out the door by 8:00 and off to the
mechanic recommended by the NRMA. I gave him a push start down the street no
sooner had he left then he was back, I feared the worst, had he stalled down
the street? No stalling, all seemed good the mechanic could work on it this
morning and would ring later in the day.
We continued on with painting I applied a second coat to the
windows, and Simon applied the first coat to the front wall. Francis the
painter from down the road came up to work on the sash windows until the rain
started and we called it quits for the day. This coincided with a call from the
mechanic about 4:00 advising the car was ready. The brushes were reconditioned
along with some other components (all double Dutch to me) all I know was $370
did the job! Simon then took the battery controller back to Jaycar who sent it
back to the supplier, a new one arrives Wednesday afternoon. We then had to
decide to stay a day longer or have it mailed to us, we elected to stay which
will allow us to finish the painting of the front wall and try out the new
controller to see if it is an inherent design fault before we attempt redress
with Katoomba Jaycar from a distance.
Dinner was a superb paella in an authentic paella dish from
Spain, it was magnificent. I made my blackberry pie with my tried and true recipe,
it was good also. Ahh this gypsy lifestyle of ours has certainly exposed us to
some wonderful meals.... such contentment.
