Hi All,
|
Eumenid wasp |
Our last helpex day on the farm. Simon finished painting cabin 2 touching up the spots missed on the lattice and making sure the job was up to par. He was finding the buzzing of a wasp around his legs a bit disconcerting and decided to slide under the cabin to investigate. These wasps have been quite prevalent of late, the kids call them "hornets" and run away when ever they are about.
I started the day collecting frames from he hives with Anna, I was then left to process them myself, cut, spin, strain, bottle, label and clean up. Definitely having hives on our property!
I also did a spot of gardening in the kitchen garden and a bit of house work. We were treated to a meal at the pub and then finished off the day with some group photos and a race to finish the jigsaw puzzle which has been on the table for the last couple of weeks.
Ohh and a correction to yesterdays blog, there are 14 chicks in total and the one with the crook leg was placed back in the incubator and it seems to have strengthened and is back with the others.
