Well we are settling into holiday mode, although I am feeling a little restless at not having "jobs" to do. Simon went for an early fish this morning and at late one this evening both unsuccessful. He swears there is "no life in the lake", as it has been dry for years and is not supporting the diversity to ensure plentiful fish stocks. Sounds feasible to me.

This afternoon we started to plan for our hike in earnest until it was time for the meet and greet. No wine this year, juice, softies and nibbles. We chatted to another couple Eunice and Pat who are here via the RCI points system and do not have a home resort. This prompted me to check my banked weeks on return to the unit and I found the two weeks that were showing in the bank before our arrival have disappeared, looks like I will be following that up tomorrow.
They have a problem with Sulphur Crested Cockatoos here. These birds are amazing at telling the time and arrive on ones deck at meal times, we had forgotten this from last time, when they positively flocked to our unit. They are a real nuisance as over years they have been fed by guests. They wreak havoc on the buildings, as I well know as some years ago I had a pet cocky who used to sit on an internal door in the living room - it ate the plaster off the wall! The cockys here openly flaunt the warning signs as you can see in the photo!
