Day 273 Mansfield Thursday 7th March 2013

Hi All,

Still waters, beautiful reflection
The sun rose over a quiet still lake and I was there to capture the moment on film, well in digital form. Simon was still in bed asleep, after 40 minutes or so I ambled back to our apartment where soft snoring was still emanating from the bedroom.

I love the quiet of dawn, and have taken many lovely pictures as I wander this great country, Simon sleeps through all these moments, I don't mind, it is good to have some reflective time alone. I have been thinking of compiling my best sunrise shots for display in some way - maybe another blog or a web page. I have plenty of excellent sunset and cloud shots also, some of my cloud shots are as good (IMHO) as those on a the Cloud Appreciation page I subscribe to, maybe I should submit some.

The waters are receding some 500mm in a week
Simon has been very patient with "Error 99" which plagues his Canon camera, this pesky error requires that he opens the battery door before he can take a picture, means all those spur of the moment shots are lost. He packed up the camera to post to Canon and we drove into town to post it off. Trouble was he forgot to include the battery which was charging back in the apartment, his excuse is that you are not allowed to post batteries! Well that's what he will tell Canon if they phone, but I am sure they have a spare or two.

We didn't get to take the kayaks out today, next time...
I took the opportunity to post another letter to the little granddaughters back home and ring them for my weekly chat, which is one of my greatest pleasures. It is exciting that we will be home to see them in a couple of weeks. I know the visit will make leaving for more adventures very difficult as they are growing so quickly, I will relish every moment and am on a promise for library visits and book reading.

We had another relaxing spa and a walk around the complex working out that we stayed in no 17 last time. We will book 39 if we have the trailer next time or 11 or 12 for the lake view if we are sans trailer.

Well time to do some packing we leave tomorrow for another gruelling week of holidays at Kyneton Bush Resort 200 kilometres down the road.

Night Folks

Susan
