Day 270 Mansfield Monday 4th March 2013

Hello again faithful readers

Today started with breakfast, nothing unusual about that!

Then we toodled into town to look at the Vaude backpacks I had seen briefly the other day and try them on, they do a lightweight model, which I doubted was the model in the camping shop, I was correct, the ones in the shop were heavy. They were also not comfortable, the hip strap mechanism needs to pull toward mid-line as my poor arthritic fingers-don't have the strength to pull the straps outward, damn nuisance :-(

We did a bit of shopping for milk, spinach and a few other staples. Before returning to the resort we ventured down to the beginning of the Eildon Lake at Bonnie Doon, had a look at the old rail bridge which forms part of a 134km old railway track and Goulburn River High Country Rail Trail which looks like a track to explore further.

Railway Bridge - sign says 20kms (R) 90 kms (L) what happened to the other 24kms?
Hahaha
On our return we checked out a lakeside resort near Bonnie Doon all donga style cabins, picturesque - NOT, and observed that some locals have a warped sense of humour.

The afternoon was filled with research, we need to do MORE WALKING.... and later a spa in the new extra large spa.

Night everybody,

Susan
