Day 111 Wednesday 28th October 2010

Hi Folks,
Today we said goodbye to Mo and Astrid our fellow Helpexers as they headed south on their journey. It was a pity we were together for such a short time. More details exchanged and another contact on Facebook.
Glen our host was unable to source the paint for the kitchen in Ingham it has to be bought in Townsville. This being the case we have swung our energies into refurbishing the window frames. These have been previously filled in places and sanded however for whatever reason (the wet winter mainly) not completed. We have had to do some more filling but it is a good job as it is one we can finish in our time frame here.
I did some more waterproofing of the roof bag which is sort of like building the pyramids. That's about all to report. Weather still good. I think this is actually how it is supposed to be. On the weather report couple of days back they said the hottest place in the state that day @ 40C was the Century Zinc mine which is a stones throw from Lawn Hill where we stayed a few weeks back.

Cheers Simon
