Day 112 Thursday 29th October 2010

Hello from Ingham home of the Sicilian connection.
We continued on our window refurbishment task today. We have actually finished one with another 4 in undercoat.
2 low lights today. The first was the battery on the Pajero was flat around mid morning. I recharged it enough to be able to start the car, with a combination of the camper trailer battery and our 4 amp charger. Supercheap had a 20 amp charger on special so i picked one up since a 4amp charger would take a week to charge the battery. Battery fully recharged and measured a half amp draw with the the ignition off which seems a bit high. Investigations to continue.
The second lowlight was when Susan and I went to town to have a coffee late afternoon. Stepping off the kerb Susan tripped and skinned a knee and to a lesser extent elbow and hands. A new pedestrian ramp and kerb had been installed and the road excavated, When the excavation was filled it wasn't flush with the exisiting road leaving a nice step to trip on. I shall visit the council office tomorrow and stir the pot!
Had another nice tea with the highlight being a bread and butter pudding with dates rather than sultanas.
Still can't get over these cane toads wandering around the kitchen eating bugs as i type. Only in FNQ!

Cheers Simon
