Howdy folks,
Susan toodled off up the road to help friends of Anna pack. For her trouble she received a bottle of Jim Beam, a bottle of wine(NZ pinot gris) and a bottle of Whisky. Is Chivas Regal 12yo any good? She had an interesting day.
I filled the water cart here, changed some "o" rings and washers on tail nuts, fastened some window flaps on the chicken caravans, and started sorting the shipping container with the fiddly stuff first, the fasteners. I also pulled the tube out of a wheelbarrow tyre for repair. After work I changed one of the rear wheels on the Pajero as the tyre was probably no longer legal. This set are up to 70k km (Bridgestone D694 LT A/T). The other three probably have another 5000 in them. I am pretty pleased seeing as they were only rotated for about half their life and the new spare wasn't used at all. They are a little bit noisy at times but in the time I have had them on only one puncture from a large screw in Cairns. I also put the new chain on my chainsaw. It was a busy day once again with not a cloud in the sky, well there were a couple this morning and temperatures in the low 30's.
The nights are perfect for sleeping under the canvas, with temperature lows in the mid to high teens with not much wind.
Speaking of sleep....
night folks
Simon
P.S. looks like the fire situation is under control in Tasmania. One of our friends in Nubeena posted on facebook they expect to be without power for 6 weeks! That would make life rather difficult.
