Bit of power behind the boat
The Candlestick and the Totem pole are in this formation but a bit hard to see.
The hole in the formation was reputedly made by the British Navy gunnery practice in early 1900's

Shags on Rock
Hello Followers,
Today we headed up the road to Eaglehawk Neck in company of Julie(UK), Adey(Taiwan) and Lyndsay(Canada) for our boat trip. Susan breakfasted only on Travacalm tablets in preparation for her on the water ordeal.
The boat was an interesting shape reminding me a bit of a Scarab with 4 X 350HP V8 Outboards on the back and capable of 50 knots. We cruised out of the harbour and headed down the coast stopping to view Tasman Arch and Waterfall Bay as well as performing a high speed loop around a rock near the shore. We visited Australian Fur seal colonies and viewed notable cliff structures such as the candlestick and the totem pole. The sea cliffs are reputed to be the highest in the southern hemisphere at 300 metres. We toured several bird colonies before heading back towards Eaglehawk Neck. On the way we encountered pods of dolphins and seals feeding on bait fish.
After a very enjoyable trip we had fish and chips in the carpark. On our return to Nubeena Susan began the preparations for the communal meal while I went down the back block to pull pine trees. On the way I did discover ripe blackberries so returned with a bowl and my spats for protection and spend an hour picking them until the rain set in. I assisted Susan with tea and we eventually presented a three course meal consisting of vegetable soup, tuna bake with roast veggies and sticky date pudding. Everybody seemed to enjoy it and with some wine it capped off an enjoyable day.
Cheers Simon
