Hi Everyone,
Today, the sun shone and it was warm. Hurrah. The countryside really colours up under sunlight especially where the sea meets the shore.
Susan went up the road to the HelpX on the farm this morning.
I went with the boss to the scrap come engineering yard to drop off a load of steel and get the PTO coupling cut to length. The dude was supposed to come this afternoon to measure the length but never showed up. He must think he is a tradesman.
I did a few small maintenance jobs and had a final attempt at gluing my old boots.
Susan and I continued painting the back wall, it is now nearly done. I have some cutting in to finish in the morning. Had some new helpexers move in from USA,France and Italy.
Susan cooked pies for tea. She has perfected the pastry at only her second attempt. I found a huge stand of ripe blackberries on my way to the bottle shop to buy a cask and will start picking them tomorrow. Can't understand why we go so madly poisoning them in SA the fruit is really tasty.
Started breaking in my new boots.
That was the day really nothing spectacular but adequate.
Cheers Simon
PS well done Alyce!!
