Day 8 Nubeena Wednesday 2nd February 2011

Bumblebee! I had forgotten they had these over here.

Hello eager acolytes,

The sun shone brightly this morning. With a slight spring in our step we arose and walked into town as far as the jetty and returned to the resort pausing to use the water front outdoor gym.

Our assignment this morning was a bit different. We toodled up the road to Premaydena to help out an older couple on their property as part of the extended community of where we are staying. Susan worked inside cleaning and I worked outside weeding. It was a great exchange as we gained excellent local walk and fishing information so a real win/win.

This afternoon we visited the apple orchard and picked up a sailing dinghy hull to use as a display on the resort entrance. We worked on some smaller jobs and then toured around the resort property with the owner looking at projects that need to be achieved. I was not aware that the whole site was around 23 acres.

Susan cooked some delicious soup for tea, morrocan style pumpkin which all the helpers enjoyed. She despatched me to the trailer to find the morrocan spices which I was unable to find even after diligent searching. Susan found them straight away since she knew they were labelled "polynesian spices" :-).

We are settling in here and finding our feet.

Till tomorrow.

Cheers Simon
