Evening all,
The weather man was right the temperatures are rising. Last night we only had -1.9!
The rule is now we don't get out of bed until the temperature is 5 degrees. I know because I made the rule up tonight!
Today we collected pavers from various locations around the property where they were performing tasks such as supporting water heaters, holding up steps, holding up stormwater pipes. This gave us enough to finish the paving work that required whole pavers. I finished the paving after lunch. In between time we wrestled with the 500kg bulker bag of peanut waste on the back of Pete's ute. This involved bucketing out the "feed" into drums, moving a hopper to the cow yard and bucketing the rest into the hopper. If you had a peanut allergy you would be dead for sure. I was covered in it by the time we had finished.
We both had lovely warm showers in the afternoon sun before I was despatched to Imbil to buy Drambuie. This was a bit of a laugh since the bottle shop at the pub fits in a shoe box.
Susan made a salmon mornay for tea which was delicious. The highlight was the breadcrumb top cooked in a fry pan and added when served since no oven was available.
Our last working day here tomorrow as we plan to leave on Monday to travel to Torbonlea adjacent Harvey Bay to visit Susan's step brother and family.
Goodnight folks
Simon
