Day 62 Torbanlea Wednesday 8th August 2012

Hi,

Today was repair day. I pulled the pump for the water heater from under the trailer. It did spring vigorously to life long enough to soak my trousers and then died. It was beyond redemption. Plan B swung into action which was replumbing the heater supply to run from the other pump. This necessitated a trip to Maryborough to Bunnings for some extra fittings. While I was there I bought a few foodstuffs, beer, el cheapo cask wine for Susan plus I had my weird hair from yesterday rectified by the barber. Susan didn't notice when I returned until I pointed it out. The heater seems to work ok apart from the fact the shower really drinks the water up now and positively stings when it hits you. This I can fix by moving a valve to the supply line to restrict the flow. However I need to go to Bunnings again for some more hose fittings. Overall I am pleased with the result.
It seemed quite warm today although according to the bureau it only hit 24.

Susan stayed back at camp and tried to sort out the duplicate picture folders on her computer a long tedious job. She also made an excellent pumpkin soup for tea which we all enjoyed. A quick dose of the Olympics and off to bed. Tomorrow we venture to Maryborough again for a relaxed day out with just a couple of chores to do.

Night all

Simon
