Day 61 Torbanlea Tuesday 7th August 2012

Hi Folks,

Another blog typed with a cold head and shivering fingers. We have arrived at Torbanlea and are staying at Alan and Karen's property. Once again we are away from the sea and the night air is again cool. Although only 8 degrees, it is still a far cry from the heady warmth of last night with an overnight minimum of 10. I also had a haircut today so there is a bit more exposure. Susan tells me my hair looks weird although it was apparently looking great when I left the chop shop.

Last nights camp

We journeyed up to Rainbow Beach this morning for a stroll/drive around before heading to Maryborough where I tried in vain to purchase some more LED strip to make another light since the one I have already works extremely well. Hopefully the light strip will arrive Thursday. We drove past the site of yesterdays tanker fire on the highway on our way here. Repairs were well under way although traffic was down to one lane.

We set up the camper which looked surprisingly straight considering the ground wasn't level. This was until we tried to do up the door which we couldn't zip. The door now does up and the canvas looks "unstraight". Susan was a casualty in this process. As I was letting the poles down the spreader bars at the other end fell and clonked her on the head.

We had a shared tea Alan and Karen and their children. We then watched some Olympics. The first TV we have watched in 4 weeks or so. It was a nice change to be sitting inside in the warm!

Tomorrow under warm sunny skies i will tackle the hot water pump and Susan will make some pumpkin soup.

night folks
