Day 281 Nowhere Else Friday 4th November 2011

Hi All,
Mr itchy eyes reporting again. We were up in leisurely fashion this morning as befits a day off. I selected a fairly easy walk along side the Don River railway down to Coles Beach adjacent to Devonport. The walk was pleasant without being spectacular. The crab army that was present at Parsons Bay was also present here so I shot a video of it.
After the walk we ventured into Devonport so Susan could get her cross stitch threads. We also availed ourselves of a nice coffee. I took the opportunity to pick up a couple of 4Gb SDHC cards on super special at Harvey's for $5 each.
We returned to Nowhere Else calling in at Devils Gate Dam which holds back the waters of Lake Barrington. From the lookout I observed two anglers land a reasonable size fish about 200 metres away. One of them dispatched it by dropping a rock on it!
We had a nice BBQ for tea tonight. I took advantage of daylight saving to start washing the dirt from the car and camper. I managed to get the camper finished and will complete the car tomorrow.
The mystery of Susans's computer is half solved. I discovered tonight it will not connect to the internet when the power supply is unplugged. That's a new one on me and a subject of future investigation.
The weather today was perfect. Susan said hot but I doubt whether it got over 20. I don't know what our perception will be if we return to an Adelaide summer! We are still mulling over what to do at Christmas i.e. whether to come home and if we do, how. If we bring the car and camper back on the boat then economics will dictate our Tasmanian jaunt is over. Something else to think about!

night folks! I am off to burn my eyes out with a hot poker.

cheers Simon
