Evening folks,
Today I continued on with the big burn off. It lasted the whole day and is now finished apart from raking out the coals tomorrow. Unfortunately I have no before pictures and the after picture would only show a flat cleared area and a big pile of ash. The weather was helpful today, a light breeze and of course light grey overcast sky. Mind you the sun did come out late in the afternoon to give a clear night sky. This seems to indicate it will pour with rain the next day!
Susan had a varied workload, sanding and varnishing window ledges, washing curtains, cleaning the fridge, vacuuming and watering.
I was pleased to get into the shower and get all the smoke off me. I do love a good fire though. It has just occurred to me I should have saved some wood and finished it off tonight sitting in a chair, keeping warm and sipping beer.Other than that there is not a great deal to report. We have about a week left here. One must do trip is a bike ride around Sheffield "The Town of Murals" to photograph the murals. We just need some co-operative weather! I note a forecast of 37 for Adelaide tomorrow. We have a 20 degree heatwave with rain later!
night folks
cheers Simon
