Day 293 Nowhere Else Wednesday 16th November 2011

Stepping stones. Laid across a slope. Just need the grass to regrow, which will be about 3 weeks at the speed it grows here!

Evening folks,
A stiff south westerly breeze today which is the hay fever wind for me. Susan did some more digging in the garden this time without rupturing any water pipes. I fired up the brushcutter and made a spot in the field to burn the big pile of tree prunings. The fire was duly started after some messing around refilling the gas lighter and an episode where the flame leapt about 20 cm out of the tip. We took a trip into Devonport at 3pm so Susan could attend to her jewellery. In the end she decided to get it repaired. It has been promised by next Wednesday a couple of days before we depart. i returned my new router and was duly cheerfully refunded. After purchasing some coffee beans on special at Woolies we journeyed back home where Susan cooked lasagne for tea and I after some prodding from Susan went and prodded the fire. There will be plenty more burning to do tomorrow. I did take a picture of the fire and the pile but I didn't have film in the camera. My sneezing erupted again while prodding the fire but Mr Fexotab took care of it. The sneezing and runny nose is much more preferable to the itchy eyes.
After tea Eric laid out his boxed sets of Hornby/Meccano 3 rail trains from the 50's. The engines ran surprisingly well. You don't see much of the three rail stuff about.
Tomorrow i am burning and Susan is varnishing.

night folks

Simon
